“21st Century Community Advocacy for a Healthy Future ”
Street Peace is a 21st century public engagement scope of work that makes available violence prevention strategies to the global community. As communicated by the Center for Disease Control violence is preventable. Additionally, the CDC defines violence as an act of power threatened or actual that causes harm to individuals, families, groups, organizations, communities, and cultures of society. The CDC also measures the impact of violence as economic, social, personal and medical costs. It is within the context that violence is preventable that stakeholders have created, designed and established Street Peace America.
